We came here to celebrate our friend’s birthday and it was one of the best Chinese restaurant we have been to, the owner was very considerate and gave us a very nice free bao because of our special occasion. The owner maintains a very high standard of the menu design, he has constantly experimenting new items addition to the menu. This is a place that the chef appreciates the original taste of the food , all dishes were gently seasoned so that you can always taste the freshness of the meat. The owner also adjust the portion of the dishes based on the number of pax so we felt just right and not overly fed. Although I said earlier the seasoning was gentle, that is not equivalent to bland taste, in actual fact , this place has done one of the best sambal fish, the sauce is not too sour and you can still taste the fish itself. Last but not the least, they served very good dessert, they add ginseng to the peach gum, the black glutinous rice with ice cream is not diabetic sweet at all.. orh nee is very good, no taste of lard at all. it is a very pleasant dining experience , and not the usual cheap cheap place but very good value for money. i will definitely come back to try more of their fresh seafood option, the owner does a fantastic job

the food at Tasty Court is indeed amazingly tasty! we especially LOVED the soup, it was so rich and thick and filled with goodness. they are very generous with the ingredients and you can clearly tell that they are extremely fresh! the other dishes were also great and were great supplements to the soup which was definitely the highlight of our dinner. I came here with a friend who is pretty much a regular customer, and the boss of the restaurant recognized him and was chatting with us! He was so friendly and approachable yet humble, and we loved talking to him. He even treated us to a new special item on the menu, and we loved it soo much! highly recommend coming here to try their amazing dishes 👍🏻👍🏻

Visited this hidden gem/neighbourhood chinese restaurant situated in the East (Opera Estate which is off Upper East Coast and Siglap Road) to sample some of their signature dishes ~ We tried the following: 》Flaming Char Siu | The presentation and taste were on point, one of my faves from this meal. The pork belly was cooked well with a lovely glaze/char on it and was served with mantou, greens plus sauce on the side. The first mouthful was heavenly, this one's certainly a must-try! 》Sweet sour plum braised pork ribs | The pork ribs were tender and the sauce was so moreish, I'd order this again in a heartbeat. 》Stewed Bee Hoon with seafood in opeh leaf | We enjoyed the generous amount of ingredients on it (mixed seafood, mushrooms etc) and the noodles were not soggy at all. The portion size is great for sharing too. 》Crispy Roast Chicken | The crispy skin complimented the juicy chicken which was so flavourful and scrumptious. 》Stir-fried Asparagus Lettuce with minced garlic | This one had a nice bite or crunch to it, a delightful side dish to our meal. 》Squid with Heirloom onions | The squid was not too chewy/rubbery and the addition of heirloom onions in the sauce balanced out the flavour of the seafood. 》Braised Fish Maw with rich chicken stock | Rich and packed with flavour, it was served in individual pots which was quite ingenious. 》Fried Durian Mochi | I don't really like durian (sorry not sorry hee) but this one possibly changed how I feel about it. The light crispy outer coating of the mochi and the creamy durian filling was quite enjoyable. Top-notch dishes which are ideal for gatherings/celebrations, team meetings etc. They have an extensive ala carte and set menus so there's something for everyone.

Hidden gem and such a great find in the area. Good Chinese food with delicious and fresh produce. Everything was done well, service was perfect. Crew and boss all were knowledgeable about the products, could explain each ingredient and how they were made. Service was attentive, came to change plates automatically, and refilled peanuts and chilli promptly. Haven’t had such good quality Chinese food in a while. Better than many named restaurants out there. Will come again and bring my whole family. Large tables and comfortable seats too, perfect for big family gatherings. Will book for Chinese new year soon as CNY always fully reserved. Looking forward to trying other dishes. Place was lively and packed with families even at 8:30pm. Free parking just outside. Must try their fish Maw soup and orh nee. Authentic teochew style.
